Bill also appears on the Global TV News Hour with Leslie Roberts at 6pm, every weeknight, where he delivers a commentary. Bill can be seen as a panellist each week on CH TV’s Live at 5:30.

Bill was born in Scotland, the number three of 5 children. His family immigrated to Canada in 1967, settling in Scarborough, Ontario. His love affair with radio began while attending Stephen Leacock Collegiate Institute, which offered an outstanding television program and radio club.

After graduation and endless number of tapes sent, Bill landed his first radio job in 1980, in New Liskeard, Northern Ontario. His career has taken him to many parts of the province and, various areas of broadcasting from a reporter, a news anchor to a talk show host, both in radio and TV. He joined CFRB in 1999, where he hosted a mid-morning show until taking the reins of the morning show in January 2007.

When an issue raises his blood pressure, he also writes a column in the National Post.
